PURPOSE
This policy is intended to inform you of how we use your tax return information, how tax return information can be used, the consents that must be given to us by you and what the Federal Law requires us to disclose.
HOW WE USE TAX RETURN INFORMATION
We use your tax return information to process and e-file, or mail paper copy tax returns to the Internal Revenue Service (I.R.S.), state governments, and/or local governments on your behalf. We use contact information to create client accounts with our accounting and customer relationships management software (C.R.M). WE DO NOT use your tax return information for 1) marketing purposes, other than to disclose products or services that are included in your tax preparation fees; 2) to sell, rent or share to third-party companies other than those required to process your tax return (our tax preparation software, and/or bank products if applicable); 3) for any other reason than what was listed in the above statement.
FEDERAL LAW SECTION 7216 OF THE INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE
Federal law requires those
who are in business that engage in the preparation of tax returns for
compensation, who wish to use tax return information for purposes other than the
preparation and processing of tax returns, to receive consent from each client,
including a listed spouse. Unless authorized by law, or by you providing us consent, we cannot use your tax return information for purposes other than preparing
and processing a tax return.
DURATION OF CONSENT
Unless otherwise specified in a Consent to Use Personal Tax Return Information form, or Consent to Disclose Tax Return Information form signed by you, the consent shall remain active for one year.

LIMITATIONS ON DISCLOSURE
You have the
right to place limitations on the disclosure of your tax return information. You can do so by specifying those limitations on the consent forms.
